The KDCA passed a resolution at the Fall Meeting to make a $5,000.00 donation to the Farabout Peninsula Coalition to help further study, preserve and raise awareness of the need to protect this unique portion of Eagle Lake.

The Farabout Peninsula Coalition representing a large number of stakeholders; Eagle Lake FirstNation, Residents, Tourism Businesses, Commercial Fishery and Recreational Users, has worked diligently for over 10 years to permanently remove the Farabout Peninsula from proposed forest harvesting.

For more information go to https://www.savefarabout.org to fully understand the significant ecological, historic and recreational import of the area and the necessity to ensure its protection.
